Longest Duration Standing on One Leg Blindfolded

Ram Phal from Uttar Pradesh, India, has set a new world record by balancing on one leg blindfolded for an impressive 2 hours and 21 minutes, surpassing his previous best by 20 minutes. At 50 years old, Ram has now broken this record three times: once in 2021 and twice in 2023.

Ram’s determination to achieve a world record reflects his personal ambition and respect for the record-setting tradition. He explained, “Despite my age, I am driven to etch my name in the world record books before I pass away. My goal is to continually push my limits and set a high standard.”

To qualify for the record, Ram’s raised foot must remain in the air without touching the standing leg. While standing on one leg may seem simple, it becomes increasingly challenging over extended periods, especially with a blindfold, requiring exceptional core strength and concentration.

Ram’s journey began in 2021 with a record-setting time of 1 hour and 6 minutes, which was soon surpassed. He reclaimed and extended his record to 1 hour and 38 minutes last summer and further improved it by breaking the two-hour barrier. His latest achievement sets a new benchmark in this demanding feat.
