The Book of World Records (TBWR) officially certified world record ‘longest surviving kidney transplant recipient’ had been achieved by Kishna Ram Sharma (68 years) from Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, India. On Dec 07, 2021; Mr. Sharma is reported to live healthy life for Forty Four years Five months Twenty Eight days (44Y:05M:28D) after receiving a kidney from elder brother Om Prakash Sharma. After renal failure diagnosed by Dr. Paras Jain, on Jun 10, 1977; Prof. A P Pandey & Dr. J C M Shadtry transplanted the kidney at CMC Vellore, Tamil Nadu.
