A detailed account of Ustad Bismillah Khan in Hindi The Book of World Record Holder

The record for making the ‘Largest Japi’ was set during the 77th Biennial Pathsala Conference of the Assam Sahitya Sabha in Bajali, Assam. This huge Japi had a diameter of 87 feet and covered an area of 555 square meters. It was made using bamboo, cane, and a large palm leaf. Traditionally, a Japi is worn as a head cover to protect from the sun and rain. It is also given as a sign of respect. The record was confirmed on January 31, 2025.
