Guru Ashis Kumar from Cuttack, Odisha, set the record for writing the most books on Odissi dance. He was born on May 5, 1960. He wrote 10 books in English, Hindi, and Odia on the Odissi dance form. Some of his works include *Abhinaya Darpanam*, *History of Odissi Dance*, *Hasta Mudra Chikitsa*, and *Odissi Nrutya Parichaya*. These books were published by Muktiprabha Publication.
