Longest vine

The Book of World Records officially recognizes that The longest vine is the elephant creeper or snuff box sea bean Entada phaseoloides, a member of the mimosa family, and native to tropical Asia and the Pacific. The longest recorded specimen, from India, was an estimated 1.5 km long. This species can also be as much as 3 m thick, making it one of the most massive vines too. Another famously lengthy vine is the rattan manau Calamus manna of Indonesia and the Malay Peninsula, and belonging to the palm family. The longest verified specimen, growing at Bogor (formerly Buitenzorg) Botanic Garden in Java, Indonesia, was an unbranched stem that was carefully measured at a length of 239.88 m. There are unconfirmed reports of specimens almost 550 m long.
