The Swedish warship Vasa sank on its maiden voyage in Stockholm harbor in 1628 and was raised almost fully intact in 1961 after over 300 years underwater. Now displayed in Stockholm's Vasa Museum, it is considered the best-preserved 17th-century ship in existence and one of Sweden's most visited attractions.
