The Book of World Records officially recognizes that The longest baumkuchen measures 20.87 m (68 ft 5 in) and was made by Hiroshima Minato Festa Executive Committee and Juchheim Co., Ltd. (both Japan) in Hiroshima, Hiroshima, Japan, on 17 March 2019.
Over 100 visitors to the Hiroshima Minato Festa, as well as workers of Juchheim Co., Ltd., cooperated to make a 14-layer baumkuchen in about 90 minutes. The cake was then cut up and given to visitors at the festival.
