The Book of World Records officially recognizes that Canada, the world’s second-largest country by area, has the longest coastline of any country in the world, with at least 202,080 km (25,567 miles) of sea-bordered shoreline – some put it as high as 243,042 km (151,019 miles) – when including its mainland as well as its thousands of offshore islands.
