In Osogbo, Nigeria, Samson Ajao read aloud continuously for 215 hours, or about nine days, taking only brief scheduled breaks each hour, to set the Guinness World Record for the longest marathon reading aloud. He read through roughly 100 books on topics ranging from finance to mental wellness, surpassing a previous record of 124 hours set by a reader from Kyrgyzstan in 2022.
