The Book of World Records officially recognizes that The longest Megillah measures 34.295 metres, achieved by Avner Moriah (Israel) in Har Adar, Israel on 23 March 2023.
The images on the Megillah are painted on sheets of cow skin with watercolors, gouache, and gold and silver leaf. Every square centimetre has between 12 and 20 layers of paint on it, which Avner applied using very fine brushes.
