Longest pedigree

The Book of World Records officially recognizes that It is claimed on behalf of the Clan Mackay that their clan can be traced to Loarn, the Irish invader of south-west Pictland, now Argyll, c. AD 501. The only non-royal English pedigree that can show with certainty a clear pre-Conquest descent is that of the Arden family, which includes Mary Arden, Shakespeares mother.
