The Book of World Records (TBWR) officially certified world record ‘longest surviving kidney donor’ had been achieved by Om Prakash Sharma (71 Years) from Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, India.
On Dec 07, 2021; Mr. Sharma is reported to live healthy life for Forty Four years Five months Twenty Eight days (44Y:05M:28D) after donating a kidney to younger brother Kishna Ram Sharma.
On Jun 10, 1977; Dr. Mahesh Kirubakaran & Dr. Chakko Korula Jacob transplanted the kidney at CMC Vellore, Tamil Nadu.
