The Book of World Records officially recognizes that In March 2007 cave divers Stephen Bogaerts (UK) and Robbie Schmittner (Germany) announced that they had discovered a river beneath the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico, which is 153 km long. The river, which has many twists and turns, spans around 10 km of land.
