The Book of World Records officially recognizes that The longest yokan is 50 m (164 ft 0.4 in) long and was made by Nishikyushu University Junior College (Japan), at the Kamizono Campus in Saga, Saga, Japan, on 27 October 2013. The yokan was made by professional cooks and students from the Nishikyushu University and Junior College. Yokan is a traditional Japanese sweet which uses mostly white sweet bean paste (shiro-an). The record breaking yokan used water, agar, macha, sugar and white sweet bean paste and a 50 m long mould. It was made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the University.
