Most elongated extrasolar planet orbit

The Book of World Records officially recognizes that HD 80606 b, a planet 190 light years away in the constellation Ursa Major, has a highly elliptical orbit more like that of a short period comet. It ranges from just 4.5 million km from its star all the way out to 125 million km at its most distant point. One orbit of its star takes around 111 days.
