Established in 1828 in Kishoreganj, the Sholakia Eidgah hosts one of the largest single Eid al-Fitr prayer gatherings anywhere, drawing several hundred thousand worshippers each year, including roughly 600,000 in 2025. It remains Bangladesh's largest annual Eid congregation, announced by cannon fire and led from a single raised platform.
