Bohol's Chocolate Hills comprise at least 1,260 (possibly over 1,700) symmetrical limestone mounds spread across more than 50 square kilometers, most standing 30 to 50 meters tall. Their grass cover turns brown in the dry season, giving the unusual karst landscape its name.
