The main prayer hall of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi contains a hand-knotted carpet covering more than 5,600 square meters, recognized as the largest of its kind in the world. Around 1,200 artisans worked for roughly two years to complete it before the mosque opened in 2007.
