First published in Vienna in 1703, the Wiener Zeitung was for centuries recognized as the oldest newspaper in the world still being printed on a regular basis. It ended its daily print edition in 2023 after Austrian legislation removed its official gazette funding, but it continues publishing content online. For roughly 320 years it had appeared in print without a lasting interruption.
