Uma Devi Children’s Academy Creates History: Double World Record on Independence Day 2025

The 79th Independence Day of India will forever be remembered as a landmark moment in the history of literature and education. On this day, Uma Devi Children’s Academy created history by establishing not one but two world records recognized by The Book of World Records (TBWR).

This extraordinary achievement showcased the talent, dedication, and vision of the academy’s young students, committed teachers, and farsighted leadership. The event was not merely a poetry recital; it was a grand celebration of creativity, patriotism, and the timeless legacy of Indian literature.

A Historic Day – Double World Records on Independence Day 2025

On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, Uma Devi Children’s Academy organized an unprecedented literary festival in the form of a massive poetry show. The academy set two officially certified records by TBWR:

Largest School Poetry Show with 100+ Student Poets

  • 106 student poets (aged 8 to 16) presented their self-composed poems.

  • This is the first record in the world where a single school featured more than 100 children performing original poetry in one event.

Longest School Poetry Show Lasting 8 Hours 33 Minutes

  • The event continued non-stop for 8 hours and 33 minutes.

  • The academy not only achieved but surpassed its initial goal of 6.5 hours.

With these records, Uma Devi Children’s Academy became the first-ever world record holder school from Lakhimpur Kheri district, and only the second in Uttar Pradesh after the prestigious City Montessori School.

The Vision Behind the Literary Festival

Encouraging Creativity and Expression

The academy believes education is not limited to textbooks and classrooms. This unique event was designed to encourage children to explore their creative side, improve their self-expression, and build confidence through public performance.

Visionary Leadership Behind Double World Records

Sunny Gupta, Managing Director of Uma Devi Children’s Academy, spearheaded the institution’s remarkable achievement of setting double world records: the Largest School Poetry Show featuring 106 student poets and the Longest School Poetry Show, which lasted an impressive 8 hours, 33 minutes, and 34 seconds. His visionary leadership cultivates creativity, discipline, and academic excellence, enabling students to reach new heights. Mr. Gupta’s enduring legacy will continue to inspire future generations, making a lasting impact on the world of education.

Carrying Forward India’s Rich Poetic Heritage

The festival was envisioned as a bridge connecting this glorious past with the future generation of poets. The organizers expressed their strong belief that hundreds of poets will emerge from such platforms in the coming years.
