Longest cucumber

The Book of World Records officially recognizes that The longest specimen of cucumber (Cucumis sativus) measures 113.4 cm (3 ft 8.64 in) and was grown by Sebastian Suski (Poland/UK) in Southampton, Hampshire, UK, as confirmed by the UK National Vegetable Society on 20 August 2022. The cucumber was grown in a polytunnel to protect it from the extreme heat of this particularly hot summer, and was also tended to by Sebastian’s wife Renata. The measurement was undertaken by Martyn Davis, a judge from the UK National Vegetable Society. Suski’s cucumber eclipsed the previous record of 107 cm (3 ft 6.13 in) by 6.4 cm (2.51 in).
